Great backpack and water resistant. Folds up very small for travel the same pocket that folds up the backpack also serves as an internal extra storage pocket. The outside pocket (back side) of the backpack is lined with plastic in the pocket, making it great for documents that should not get wet. Purchased for a cruise to use on excursions and it held it well. Extremely lightweight, which made the load light when filled with wet towels post beach excursion.
This back pack is large, compact and strong. It is a great value .
I bought a sheet of 6mm EVA foam to provide back protection. I cut one piece to fit into the wet pocket, and another to fit into the laptop sleeve. This gives me 12mm of EVA foam between the backpack contents and my back. This provides great back comfort that is removable and makes the backpack very comfortable.

This is my second Gonex bag and just got this one because it's a different size than my first. I have used these bags to walk around NYC and take to the beach. I love how light they are and all of the pockets they have. They are holding up great!
My 1st backpack since being in school. This was bag was perfection during my cruise. I was able to shop hands-free, bring snacks/water, take extra items in case it rained or got cold, and wallet was safe and secure. I would definitely recommend and use regularly.
